Donna L. McLean

Donna brings to the foundation a combination of political and private industry experience. Donna held integral responsibilities in two Congressional campaigns as well as a local judgeship race holding positions of Intern Recruiter and Evaluator, Volunteer Coordinator, Campaign Manager, and Office Manager. She continued to be the Officer Manager, Intern Manager, and Constituent Liaison for the Congressional Representative of the 26th District of New York.
During her tenure in the private sector, Donna held various positions including Officer Manager, Accounts Payable Manager, Payroll Manager, as well as other administrative positions. Donna has an A.S. Degree in Business from Monroe Community College. |
John Weber

John is CEO of Vision-Ease Lens, an eyeglass lens manufacturer. Vision-Ease is headquartered in Ramsey, Minnesota.
Prior to Vision- Ease, John spent twenty years in the contact lens industry. His last position in the contact lens industry was as President of CooperVision, a global contact lens manufacturer, with responsibilities for all aspects of this division of The Cooper Companies. Prior to that role, John was President of CooperVision’s Asia Pacific region, responsible for the commercial operations within the region. And before that, he was Vice-president of Worldwide Operations for CooperVision. He has held executive and leadership roles in manufacturing, logistics, and marketing at CooperVision and Ocular Sciences, a contact lens company acquired by CooperVision. Before joining the contact lens industry, John held several management positions within Baxter Hospital Supply, including sales support and distribution. He began is career as an officer in the US Army. John earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Minnesota and Masters of Business Administration from St. Mary’s College. |
Jonathon R. Moore

Jonathon, an internationally recognized expert in the legal aspects of philanthropy, practices law in Washington, D.C. His practice focuses on planning and compliance matters for exempt organizations and for U.S. and non-U.S. corporate and individual clients interested in establishing charitable organizations. He also practices in the areas of estate planning for U.S. and multi-jurisdictional families and international business transactions. He is a member of the District of Columbia and New York Bars, the Committee on Exempt Organizations of the American Bar Association's Section on Taxation, Eurojuris International and the District of Columbia Estate Planning Council. His firm was recognized by Eurojuris International as the "Best Partner Firm, Correspondent Member" in 2012. Additionally, his firm holds an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubble.
His recent treatise, A Practical Guide to International Philanthropy, was published in 2010 by Cambridge University Press and is updated periodically at www.internationalphilanthropythebook.com. His previous work, International Charitable Foundations, was published in 2003 by Transnational Publishers in the United States and by Richmond Law & Tax in the United Kingdom. He has contributed articles to numerous publications, including The International Lawyer, Tax Management International, The Journal of Commerce, The International Tax Journal, International Law Enforcement Reporter and The Journal of International Law and Economics. He is a graduate of the National Law Center of The George Washington University and holds a B.A. in English literature from Williams College. |
Susan Tanner Cummings

Susan has been a financial advisor for over 20 years. After growing up in Europe and then coming back to the United States to attend college in New York and Virginia, she started with Smith Barney in New York as one of their first female financial advisors. Susan moved to UBS Financial Services, then Banc of America Securities which ultimately became Merrill Lynch. Now, she is an independent financial advisor with her own firm and her broker/dealer is LPL Financial. She is a principal of LPL financial.
Susan’s long experience in many markets allows me to manage her clients’ portfolios and assist them with their full-service financial planning through retirement. She is honored to become the Treasurer of the Jeffrey A. McLean Foundation. Helping students improve their lives with support and guidance will be fulfilling and allow her to give back and share her experience and knowledge. |
Justin Schall
Board Member |
Justin brings a wide variety of talents to the foundation. His work on both local and national campaigns has given him experience in organizational development, volunteer and intern recruitment, fundraising, marketing and event planning. He has travelled internationally with the Clinton Foundation and has a working knowledge of the non-profit sector as well.
Justin’s private business experience includes business planning and development, information technology development, marketing, human resources, and investor fundraising as the co-founder/owner of two successful restaurants in Tampa FL. Justin holds B.A. degrees in both Political Science and Economics as well as a Certificate in International Business from the University of Iowa. |
